Since the change in law in the UK in 2004, - from 2005, same sex wedding ceremonies, known as “Civil Partnerships”, have become the daily norm throughout Great Britain, enabling gay couples, and lesbian couples, to enjoy all the same rights in their marital relationship as different sex couples. But for most same sex couples, the main thing for them – is, at last, to have the opportunity to confirm their ongoing respect and devotion towards each other, “till death us do part”, in front of their close friends and family.

There are civil partnership wedding consultants, and civil partnership wedding organisers, now more than accustomed to organising weddings for gay couples and lesbian couples.

There are gay and lesbian wedding fairs and exhibitions, and gay wedding guides, all brimming with every conceivable idea under the sun, to help to ensure that your civil partnership day becomes a day to remember – for all the right reasons.

Gay travel specialists are often the best people to chat to when considering a gay or lesbian honeymoon. There are numerous appropriate destinations and venues throughout the UK and abroad – or you may wish to consider a gay cruise. It may also be wise to consider gay travel insurance.
