Stag Nights and Hen Parties

Types of Stag Nights & Hen Parties
Generally speaking, stag nights are "for the boys" and hen parties are "for the girls". One type of Stag Night, or Hen Party, is just the meeting of male family members, or female family members, and mates of the groom, or the bride, - maybe just having a chance to meet up together before the Big Day. Wedding guests often appreciate this type of Stag Night as it keeps costs down to a minimum. But if you fancy maybe a more typical (and likely more memorable) type of evening or weekend away, - stag nights and hen parties are often a good enough reason to let your hair down and have great fun.

Stag Nights and Hen Parties - General Info
Generally known in the UK as Stag Nights or Hen Parties, are nights out (or sometimes days away) with mates - usually of the same gender but certainly not compulsory. This bonding of (usually) same-sex get togethers, prior to the wedding day or day of civil partnership, provides perfect opportunity for meeting up with friends and relatives who may not have been seen for many a month. Stag nights and hen parties also provide a chance for wedding or civil partnership guests to get to know one another before the Big Day. Quiet affairs are not usually the norm - so nowadays, it is much more customary to have a Hen Night or Stag Night, or Hen or Stag breakaways, several days in advance of the date of the wedding or civil partnership.
