Honeymoon Destinations
Q. Should we go on a honeymoon following our wedding day?
A. Almost certainly you should go on a honeymoon. (You’ll deserve it. Believe me)!!
Very few couples realise, even for one moment, just how much is involved in planning for their wedding day. A whole year of organising, stresses and strains, can turn out to be no time at all to “get the show on the road”. Even right up to the last few days, and even hours before wedding ceremonies are due to take place, most bridal couples are still using precious minutes to finalise all the last minute details – to ensure that their wedding day is everything that they had ever wished for. They want to be able to look back, twenty years down the line, and consider that it had been worth every penny of the thousands of pounds it had lightened in bank accounts – or paid for on credit cards.
So considering the cost of the actual wedding itself, the expense of a honeymoon is usually quite negligible.
There are wonderful UK honeymoon resorts abounding. And if cost is a big consideration, to book a few nights of inexpensive accommodation, at a popular location in the British Isles, – it’s hardly likely to make many bank balances “throw a wobbler”. And to keep down the cost even more, find such a haven which is not a million miles away from the wedding venue. Even the more luxurious British honeymoon destinations help to keep down costs for your special holiday – as the travel costs are almost always far less expensive than voyaging abroad.
But if your yearning is to travel to foreign, and maybe very exotic and/or distant lands, then you will already be aware that there is a world full of highly regarded locations, many of which are considered the ideal settings for overseas honeymoon destinations. And each honeymoon destination, delightful in its own individuality, is poised, beckoning you to come and view it – and all its superb holiday accommodation.
Procedures in sorting honeymoon destinations
Firstly, do your homework – and then decide on your favourite honeymoon destinations in the UK and/or abroad. Secondly, discover the precise localities, availabilites and charges of all the hotels, and other accommodations, – in the areas which particularly take your fancy. Keep narrowing it down – until you have just a handful of absolute favourites left. Now it is time for the serious discussion. (‘Thinking caps’ are not compulsory at this stage, - but they might help). If one or the other has a particular uncertainty about a honeymoon destination or honeymoon hotel, - totally disregard it. If either/both of you would adore to stay in the bridal suite at one of the most luxurious hotels on the planet, - but this would likely require a second mortgage to pay for the privilege, perhaps it would be best to ignore this as well. Hopefully, you will come to a mutual agreement, - sooner rather than later. Get booking that well-deserved honeymoon holiday before they put up a sign saying “No Vacancies”.
