At day time ceremonies, independent vocalists and musicians can add really special touches to your really special occasion. Not many (if any) bridal couples or civil partners will choose to have no music at an evening wedding or civil partnership reception. The fact that this is the last scenario of the wedding day, entertainment and music needs very carefully planning. It needs to "round off" a wonderful and memorable day - leaving all the guests absolutely buzzing before their departures. So if possible, try not to economise too much on DJs and wedding bands because it's the last thing to be happening on your very special day. Suggestions of types of bands suitable for wedding receptions: hoe down bands, rockabilly bands, jazz bands, swing bands and rock 'n' roll bands. If budget permits, you may like to consider having a children's entertainer immediately following the wedding breakfast, followed by a brilliant band performing until around 11.00 p.m followed by a good DJ to carry you through and beyond the midnight hour.
