Wedding Flowers

Wedding flowers covers a vast range of floral requisites for couples on their wedding day.

Immediately springing to mind will be the bridal bouquet - and also, the posies or bouquets which will likely be carried by the bridesmaids. And many couples like to supply buttonholes to supply to their special guests.

Bridal bouquets, and bridesmaids posies or bouquets, need to be well considered – once the decisions have been reached on the overall effect of the wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses. Many brides prefer to have just one type of flower in their bouquet. Lilies, roses and daisies are particularly popular in wedding bouquets, and to a lesser degree of popularity, hydrangeas and thistles. Other brides will select a range of beautiful different blooms - often appropriate to the season of the year. Flowers can have the effect of accentuating colours in the bride’s attire or bridesmaids dresses.

Bridal garlands are very versatile. They have the ability to magnificently transform all the rooms which are involved with the wedding. They can be draped around pillars, spread around tables, placed along window sills, and are often seen surrounding the table supporting the wedding cake. And to add a touch of pure magic to the occasion, they can be highlighted with illumination. Some brides and grooms select to wear garlands around their necks on their wedding day.

Floral arrangements are also often seen adorning reception areas and main rooms involved in weddings. Although less versatile than garlands, they also help to enhance the appearances in selected areas – and are often used in conjunction with garlands.

More attractive than rice, and certainly less likely to cause an injury to the bride and groom, freeze dried rose petals make a delightful modern way for guests to “shower” the bride and groom after their wedding ceremony.
