The old phrase: "Unaccustomed as I am to public speaking" is often very much the case with regards to making a speech at a wedding or civil ceremony reception. And yet, very often, the best speeches, at these special receptions, are not made by persons very accustomed to public speaking. The most hilarious and/or very interesting speeches are often best executed by people who are very unaccustomed to making a speech in public. Do your homework well and research. Try and personalise. This especially applies to a Best Man speech.
