Father of Bride & UshersThe two words which apply to everyone having important involvements on the Wedding Day, or Civil Partnerhip Day, are: " keep calm". Father of bride and ushers have extra responsibility. Their extra responsibility is helping others to keep calm on the Big Day. As is often the case, many fathers of brides and chosen ushers will be unaccustomed to public speaking (in the case of father of bride) and advising others on seating accommodation etc (in the case of ushers). But to ensure that the day runs smoothly in every respect, it is very helpful to the bridal couple, or civil partnership couple, (who, of course, have "centre stage" throughout the day and evening), if these VIPs perform their duties, to the best of their abilities, on their special day.
Bridesmaids and Best ManMost bridal couples, and civil partnership couples, will almost certainly agree that matron of honour, bridesmaids, best man, ushers and father of the bride, plus any other guests who have a major contribution to make on the Big Day, can be truly enormous enablers towards making the special day extra memorable, for all in attendance, and for all the right reasons. This applies especially to their involvements at both the Wedding Ceremony, or Civil Partnership Ceremony, and particularly with regards to speeches following the wedding breakfast (which is usually prior to commencement of the Wedding Reception or Civil Partnership Reception).
