Planning a Wedding Stage 24 - Thank you Gifts

Planning a Wedding Stage 24 - Thank you Gifts

Wedding couples may like to thank certain members of their family, and/or special and deserving friends, in the form of a wedding thank you gift. There are no "hard and fast" rules on wedding thank you gifts - but it is fairly customary for the bride and groom to provide the bridesmaids with thank you gifts.

Often a bride and groom will wish to give wedding thank you gifts to certain special guests, present on their wedding day or following their wedding day. Usually, thank you gifts are primarily considered for such people as the parents of the bride and groom, the bridesmaids and possibly the Best Man. The engaged couple, or newly weds, may particularly wish to send a thank you gift, or special thank you card, to an elderly or infirm friend, or member of the family, who is unable to be present for their very special day.

Saying "thank you" in the form of a gift, or special thank you card, does not need to be expensive. As these gifts and cards are the prerogative of the bride and groom, and therefore a chosen act of kindness, a small, inexpensive gift or card of appreciation is often all that is necessary for a bride and groom to say "thank you" or "thinking of you" (in the case of absentees).
